It seems as though you can walk into any store and pick out a piece of jewellery that sparkles or shimmers in the sunlight. But how can you be sure your more prized pieces are made of quality materials or natural sources?
At Kurtis Jewellers, we know that our customers value our gemological knowledge of diamonds and gems.
Gemology pertains to the science of natural and artificial gems and gemstones. Only a few jewellers are academically trained at certified institutions established for the sole purpose of promoting education and research in the science of Gemology. Certified Gemologists possess the background of both technical knowledge and demonstrated practical skills necessary to work in this particular industry. Earning the Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA) Graduate Gemologist diploma equips Gemologists to identify and grade all varieties of gemstones and detect the latest treatments and synthetics.
Kurtis Jewellers is extremely pleased to announce that we now have a GIA Graduate Gemologist on staff. This means we are able to confidently assist you with gemstone identification and diamond grading for the purpose of estate evaluations, appraisals, and jewellery assessment estimates.
